"MVA Scarlet Orzel is a living legend in the Arabian industry and has earned the title of being one of the greatest Pure Bred Reining Mares ever. Scarlet is 14 now and I had already made up my mind that we were going to retire her this year after winning Scottsdale for the fourth year straight in February 2008. Two years ago at US Nationals Scarlet tied up on us and has just not been the same since. Because of age and her job she is dealing with more stress on her body which we believe she is brining a lot of that on herself. We say that because, yes we do deal with some soreness issues at home but when we get to the shows is where we begin to see her tighten up, which of course affects her mentally and physically. Soreness through back, stifles and hocks affect her movement and her attitude.

In March after returning from Scottsdale, we put Scarlet on STEADFAST to see if it would target the issues we were having with her. After one month of being on STEADFAST we began to notice a difference in Scarlet. Her movement was much more fluid and she did not seem to be showing any signs of the usual soreness. So, we decided to take her to Region 9 Championship to see how she would react which would be the next test of STEADFAST. To our surprise the old Scarlet was back. Scarlet was the most relaxed at the show and when she walked in the pen in over two years.

Scarlet and her owner, Zollie Saxon came away with two Reserve Championships in PB Reining and most important, we came home with a Happy and sound Scarlet..
