STEADFAST™ Now Available for Dogs
St. Louis, MO, June 27, 2008 —Arenus announces the launch of its first products for dogs, STEADFAST™ CANINE and STEADFAST™ CANINE Large Breed, designed to support Total Structural Health.
“Too often, when our dogs have mobility issues, we as owners and veterinarians tend to focus just on joint cartilage,” stated Dr. Kenneth Kopp, Technical Service Veterinarian for Arenus. “Our philosophy with STEADFAST™ is to support more than just cartilage, but also, bone, tendon, ligament, and fascia, all of which can play a role in canine mobility.”
The STEADFAST™ CANINE products are Arenus’s second and third product offerings. They follow their sister product, STEADFAST™ EQUINE which launched last year. Both products are built around NEM® and TêlaFIRM™, ingredients that are exclusive to Arenus and its products.
“NEM®, a natural eggshell membrane product, is a matrix of important joint support components including collagen, glucosamine, hyaluronic acid, multiple glycosaminoglycans (GAGS), amino acids, and peptides,” stated Dr. Kopp. “Not only does NEM® take a more holistic approach to joint support, it also is a domestic product that is consistent and 100% traceable. We feel this gives NEM® a distinct advantage over the foreign sourced, isolated forms of these ingredients found in most traditional joint health products.”
The proprietary ingredient TêlaFIRM™ has scientific data in multiple species for its effectiveness in supporting strong bones, ligaments, and tendons. There is also data that supports its ability to strengthen gut tissues and aid immune health.
Dr. Kopp said, “The production animal research showing the benefits of TêlaFIRM™ is overwhelming in demonstrating this ingredient’s ability to impact all structural tissues through enzyme optimization. This is exciting when you consider that the causes of lameness in dogs are multi-faceted.”
Kopp says that in addition to the current science behind these ingredients, Arenus has invested in multiple research trials involving equine and rodent models to demonstrate the effectiveness of the STEADFAST™ formula with results expected this fall.
